Planning A Wedding? IN A MONTH!

Planning a wedding, and it's in one month! Well ladies it can be done, affordable and stress free. Just because it is the most special time in your life does not mean it needs to take a lifetime to plan.

Let's see, there are things we need, things he needs and things that just are not really a need at all. Start with a handy checklist, write down your thoughts and desires of how you imagine your wedding to be.

Now that your "vision" is on paper, start determining what is reality and what is fantasy, yes we do tend to fantasize, alot! If you wrote down, "gigantic silver and satin white-horse drawn carriage to arrive to the church in...that just may be fantasy girls or at least is not going to be a reality for a wedding in one month.

We already know what the basics are for a fabulous wedding, so let's start with them. There are the flowers, the dress, the groomsmen and the bridesmaids. Then there is the details of location, location, LOCATION! We must not forget that pesky guest list either.

There are other "minor" but needed issues to think about but those can come a little later down the road, like maybe an hour? Such as menu, color, music and those beautiful rings. But focus ladies! First things first!

We have 1 month (30 days) to pull this grand event off in. So, is this your first wedding or have you become a pro in the marriage department? This will make a big difference on your dress. Maybe you are renewing your wedding vows after 20 years, like i did. Then there are NO rules for the dress, extravagant to barely nothing will do just fine.

Is the "ball on the end of your chain" an easy going guy or is he particular to detail? I ask this because of one little detail...the color. If you have always imagined your girl's wearing fuscia at your wedding, then that means the guys will be wearing some form of pink as well. See what I mean?

Are you religious, traditional, sentimental or a hippie child at heart? All weddings are beautiful, but some require much more attention, and time. Beach weddings are stunning and serve nicely to the barefoot wedding goer all the way to the tux and tail extremest.

Now, once those details are all figured out, we need to put them to work for us. Recruit, just like the Army does! Gather those friends that said, "How exciting, how can I help?" and call those family members that love to gossip and spread the word. You will be surprised at how many people start signing up for a task.

If it is in the budget, use a wedding planner or Coordinator to sew together the trimmings. If budget is an issue, then find a store that will be able to handle several areas of the wedding such as a business that specializes in wedding cakes, party favors and catering.

Some Bridal Boutiques have everything you need to get married, even the rings! Which ever way you decide to go, plan on spending 3 days to accomplish your details (Bride) and another 3 days on his (The Groom), that is basically one week down.

Vegas is a great idea for that quick memorable wedding, but can hinder the guest list a bit. Most of the Chapel's in Las Vegas do everything for you for a minimal extra fee. This fee is well worth it if you wish to keep focused on looking stunning and keeping the weeping mom under control or feuding friends-to bridesmaid's. Below are a few wonderful options for gathering beauty and shimmer items for your "quick wedding".

* WALMART
* TARGET
* BIG LOTS (Only in some areas)
* ORIENTAL TRADING CO (Online Retailer)
* EBAY

Ebay makes planning a wedding easy but beware of time...some sellers can not be trusted to ship your items in a timely fashion. Also if the item arrives blue when you ordered red, you may not have time to return or start over. I ordered a beautiful gown on Ebay for about $75 on there was a reason it was so cheap, it never arrived! So just use caution when dealing with auction websites or discount on-line retailers.

The City, the Church, the jeweler, the seamstress and the guest list/RSVP's are going to take the longest without a doubt, so I always suggest starting with those details first. The rest will all fall into place for a glorious life with your new mate.
